Is the JobDataLake MCP server free to use with Cline?
Yes. The free tier gives you 500 job searches per day with no signup and no API key. If you need more, add a JobDataLake API key to the same config and the limit lifts.
How current is the job data?
Jobs are scraped directly from 25,000+ company career pages and ATS platforms and updated hourly. New postings are typically searchable within 3 hours.
What can it actually search?
Over 1.8M+ enriched job listings from 25,000+ companies across 40+ ATS platforms. Each listing carries title, company, location, salary normalized to USD, remote type, seniority, required skills, and employment type.
Which tools does the server expose?
search_jobs, get_job, get_company, find_similar_jobs, and get_filter_options. Your assistant picks the right one automatically — you just ask in plain English.
Do I need Node.js installed?
Yes — this config runs the server locally through npx, which requires Node.js. The panel shows a green indicator once the server has started successfully.
